ABOUT US
The Rufina Children’s Foundation is a London- and California-based charity dedicated to helping children reach their full potential through access to education, nutritious food, emotional support, and holistic care. Named in honour of a beloved family member of the founders—whose passion for justice and child welfare left a lasting impact—the Foundation stands as a personal and powerful response to the inequalities affecting children’s lives.
Though our work began informally in the UK in 2016 through private donations and community-led support, the Foundation has recently been formally incorporated to scale its mission globally. We are building a growing network of passionate volunteers and teams in the UK, USA, Nigeria and around the world—most of whom joined through word-of-mouth and a shared commitment to changing lives.
The Foundation was born from the trustees' personal experiences witnessing the struggles faced by children in different parts of the world. Moved to act, they created an organisation focused on practical, compassionate, and sustainable solutions that uplift children and young adults, wherever they are.

What We Do
Helping children is our primary concern, whatever form that may take. The pandemic has been a particularly challenging time and we have helped families by providing food and paying for hospital treatment. The bigger picture is to enable families to take care of themselves and to this end, we aim to help caregivers establish businesses from which they can derive an income.
